Snap. Speak. Send

Most of our site time is spent observing risk. But a big chunk of our day still goes into typing, formatting, and chasing photos for the final report.

AuditSnap (by SiteIQ) is a mobile-first web app that turns audit photos + voice notes into a formatted PDF/Word report in minutes. It’s currently free (14 days) in beta / trial-based access (no credit card mentioned).

What it helps us do (in plain terms)
• Capture findings while walking the site (photo + voice)
• Get a structured report draft instantly (Word/PDF)
• Standardize write-ups across supervisors and auditors.

Practical HSE use cases (real-life, step-by-step)

Construction: Daily safety walk → report before we leave the site
1. Open AuditSnap on mobile and pick Safety Inspection / ISO 45001 style template.
2. Click photos: unsafe access, missing edge protection, trailing cables, poor housekeeping.
3. For each photo, dictate: “What we saw → risk → immediate control → corrective action → owner → due date.”
4. Generate the Word report, quickly edit wording, and share with the contractor + PM the same day.

Oil & Gas / Chemicals: Coating/corrosion walkdown with evidence
1. Choose the Paint/Weld/Coating/Corrosion inspection flow.
2. Capture defects (blistering, rust bleed, damaged insulation cladding).
3. Voice-note key details: location tag, condition, probable cause, and required action.
4. Export the report and attach it to your maintenance follow-up / shutdown punch-list pack.

Ports & terminals: Housekeeping / 5S audit that actually closes actions
1. Use the Housekeeping / 5S template.
2. Snap: blocked emergency routes, poor stacking, spill kits missing, cable management issues.
3. Dictate quick actions and assign owners in the narrative.
4. Share the report with shift leads; track closures using your existing Excel/CMMS (since the output is already clean and consistent).

One important HSE note (data hygiene)
Because the app can collect photos, voice recordings, and AI transcriptions, we should avoid capturing confidential boards, permits with personal data, or sensitive process screens—especially on client sites.

Optional angle (useful for NEBOSH / ASP / CSP / CFPS aspirants)
We can use AuditSnap to practice audit writing: do a mock site inspection, generate a draft, then improve the wording to match formal reporting standards. It’s a fast way to build a portfolio of “evidence-style” reports.

Let’s try it on one real inspection this week and compare: time spent on-site vs time spent on reporting. If anyone has tested similar photo-to-report tools, let’s share what worked and what didn’t.
