J&A BHARAT KEVAL-SHANTI SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The J&A Bharat Keval-Shanti Scholarship is an ongoing scholarship offered each year as
per following guidelines:
The scholarship is given to students in India for following the semester grade
period / yearly performance.
The intent of the scholarship is to support students, who are pursuing occupational
safety and health programs.
Each scholarship amount is of IRS 20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand Only) is
awarded for the first year and then IRS. 8,000/- (Rupees Eight Thousand Only)
for the successive years up to 4 year-degree or a diploma program.
Students pursuing a four year or a graduate degree program or Diploma program,
should go to the J&A Bharat HSE Foundation web site –
https://jabharathsefoundation.org/ to obtain information regarding
Foundation scholarships and grants as well.
Program requirements:
Enrolled in a 4-year Degree Program or a Post Graduate Diploma Program or
minimum one year Diploma course in the field of Environment, Health and
Safety and Sustainability. All courses must be approved / accredited by
respective Government Authorities.
Female students will have the preference in the J&ABKS scholarship
program.
If there are no qualifying female student applicants for the scholarship, the
Program will be open to all other students.
Household total family income for applicant is less than or equal to Rs.
50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand Only) per month with self-declaration subject
to verification or certificate issued by the concerned Bank Manager, where the
account is hold by the Family of Student.
Student shall achieve GPA of 3.0 or greater. If there is no grade system one of
the alternatives could be to get a Letter of Recommendation from Principal or
Director as required in the application process and must explicitly state that
you are in the top 30% of your graduating class within the faculty or the
university as a whole.
Applicants will be required to submit grades and receipts for tuition and books
before the scholarship will be awarded.
All scholarship recipients must be Indians residing in India and pursuing the
EHS&S program with Indian College or University.
Scholarship will continue in the amount of IRS 8000/- (Rupees Eight
Thousand Only) to the Second, third and fourth year of the education, for
degree courses of up to four years.
For on-going years, the applicant will need to demonstrate the continuing of
GPA of 3.0 or greater meeting the requirements.
In case student is obtaining any other scholarship or financial aid from other
sources, the scholarship amount may be considered proportionately.
