What it is..?
An AI research engine that answers your question only from peer-reviewed studies and links the papers. Good when you need evidence you can trust.
Why use it..?
Faster than scrolling the web.
Every claim has a source.
Helpful for reports, toolbox talks, and exam prep.
5-minute workflow (step by step)
– Go to consensus.app.
– Ask a specific question.
– Read the summary. Open 1–2 papers it cites.
– Pull 3–5 key lines into your notes with citations.
– Write your action or takeaway for your site.
Practical examples (with prompts)
1) Reduce slips in a food-prep area
Prompt: “What interventions have strongest evidence for reducing slips on wet floors in kitchens?”
Use: pick top two measures with effect sizes if shown (e.g., flooring + cleaning frequency), add to your weekly plan, cite the paper in your email.
2) Shift fatigue controls
Prompt: “Evidence-based fatigue countermeasures for 12-hour rotating shifts in industrial settings.”
Use: choose 3 controls (naps, light exposure, break timing), post as a one-pager for supervisors with study links.
3) Manual handling injuries in small warehouses
Prompt: “Which controls most effectively reduce manual-handling injuries in small warehouses?”
Use: add the top control to next month’s improvement task, reference the study in the meeting minutes.
4) Hearing conservation in workshops
Prompt: “What strategies measurably improve hearing protection use in small workshops?”
Use: select the method with strongest evidence and build a quick toolbox talk.
5) Leading indicators that predict injuries
Prompt: “Which leading indicators show the best evidence for predicting injuries in manufacturing?”
Use: track 2 indicators on your dashboard; note the supporting paper.
For study prep
Ask: “Give a 6-point answer outline on [topic] based on peer-reviewed studies; cite each point.”
Then: “Create 4 MCQs (1 correct, 3 distractors) from those findings; include paper links.”
Build flashcards from the cited lines. Always open the paper to confirm context.
Good practice
– Be specific in your question.
– Prefer summaries that show study quality or effect size.
– Verify critical points in the original PDF before you apply them.
