Ashok Garlapati, CSP, QEP, CFIOSH, FASSP

Ashok Garlapati is a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) professional, Fellow of ASSP, USA, Chartered Fellow of IOSH, UK, certified with CSP from BCSP USA and QEP from BGC, USA . He has 34 years' of experience in HSE consultancy and HSE management in oil and gas industries. He is also the Lead Auditor of the ISO 14001 and ISO45001 standards and approved as a GlobalOSHA-USA outreach Trainer. He has extensive experience in implementation of HSE management systems for process industries in line with international standards.

Ashok is a professional member of American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP), and a past president of ASSP's Kuwait Chapter. He played an important role in the ASSP Kuwait Chapter's establishment in the year 2001, which has now become ASSP's largest international chapter.

He served as a member of ASSP's Global Taskforce and supported in establishment of ASSP Chapters in India, UAE, Nigeria, and Pakistan. He served as a Founding Vice President of ASSP Global Region (Region IX), which served all 10 international ASSP chapters located around the World.

Ashok received the Charles V. Culbertson Award, the Region VI Safety Professional of the Year Award, ASSP Presidents Award and the Edgar Monsanto Queeny Safety Professional of the Year Award and IPS SPY Award. He has been appointed as Ambassador Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP-USA) in recognition of his professional volunteering and currently serving as a Board of Director in BCSP. He is recently honored with Fellow of ASSP, first South East Asian to get this honor.

Ashok played a key role in establishing Global Society of HSE professionals (GSHP) and currently serving as its Vice Chairman. Ashok is one of the Founding Trustee of J&A Bharat HSE Foundation.

Ashok associated with the IADC (International Association for Drilling Contractors), IOGP (International Association of Oil & Gas Producers),' IPEICA (International Petroleum Industries Environmental Conservation Association, IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, UK), Institution of Engineers- India, Safety Engineers Association of India and member of Tamil Nadu Engineers Forum, State of Kuwait.
