Yashwanth Garlapati, CSP,CRSP,CMIOSH

Yashwanth Garlapati is a qualified Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Professional and enjoys using his skills in contributing to improvement of HSE performance in Kuwait Drilling Company by providing inputs from site-level to the board level. He graduated from USA and holds a degree in Environmental Systems Engineering with a specialization in Health and Safety. He also has an International Diploma in Environmental Management from NEBOSH, UK and attained GSP (Graduate Safety Professional) from the Board of Certified Safety Professional (BCSP), USA. He is well versed with integrating the health, environmental and safety performance in the Oil and Gas industry.

He is currently working as a Specialist for Environmental Projects at the Kuwait Drilling Company (KDC) since 2018. KDC specializes in providing upstream Oil and Gas services to multiple clients in the Middle East Region.

During his tenure at KDC, he has played a significant role in developing and enforcing environmental procedures, improving quality of effluent treatment and waste management processes. Prior to joining KDC he has worked at ProcessMaps that dealt with software solutions to manage safety and sustainability performance of organizations in various sectors.

He is a certified lead auditor in ISO: 45001, ISO: 14001, and ISO: 22000 and has always strived for continuous improvement in his field through education and participation in professional development events. Currently he is also serving as member of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP)- Kuwait Chapter Student Committee to promote a career in HSE among the students at the various universities in Kuwait and assist in establishing student chapters. He is also a Communication Chair in ASSP Environmental Practice Specialty (EPS) of USA. When he is not keeping busy with work, you can find him mostly reading, keeping up with current events and working out at the gym.
